You have no doubt heard a lot about the sediment accumulation in our lake.

Here is part of a study that was done by Geosyntec and presented to the Association.

Plus an Association prepared cost estimate to do the work.

LAKE SEDIMENT REMVAL COST.jpg

Our lake has a surface area of approximately 102 acres and a capacity of approximately 3500 acre feet.

It is estimated that since its beginning it has accumulated approximately 130 acre feet of sediment which relatively speaking is very little. However, the problem is where the sediment has accumulated.

The sediment has accumulated along the shoreline making the shoreline water depth less which then allows certain water vegetation and insects which need shallow water to thrive.

Shallow water also restricts access to the shoreline by water craft keeping water enthusiasts from access up any tributaries.

Removing the shoreline sediment is a healthy thing to do for our lake and will enhance the experience for those who use the lake.
